Yeah, people nowadays are relying mostly on world wide web. The essence of reading and understanding each word (i.e. school projects/papers) is gone because everything is already ctrl + c and ctrl + v. True, internet has been a part of everybody’s lives. This somehow make our lives simpler and easier to deal with.

I could still remember when I was in my freshman years in high school. On a book called Health and Home, there’s a part there, the Friendship Unlimited section, where teens do submit there name, address, and some sort to gain friends thru snail mailing. I tried it myself too! I gained quite a few friends out of that section from the book. Friends from different parts of the Philippines. Sure, it takes a while before you receive the letter, considering the slow postal system of our country. But hey, the wait is nothing once you get your letter! The feeling of reading a letter from your “new found friend” is something that one could really treasure. :) Plus, you get to keep that paper in your collection box. :D That kind of letter would serve as a memento that somewhere in time, you get the experience that kind of communication. That’s something that you could tell your grandkids and be proud of. And yeah, you could also pass it on to your grandkids… let them read it. \

The same feeling goes with postcards. This is something you could not copy-paste or delete from your hard drive. This is something you could keep in your safety deposit box or put in your album as a collection. Postcards are a proof that something still exists amidst the globalization etc. HAHA WHAT AM I SAYING. But yeah, you get me. It’s really nice to get these kind of things from people. This is a reminder that somewhere, somehow, you had someone who got or made you a postcard. Yeah, it takes a long wait before you could have it but it makes the wait awesome once you actually have it.

Sheeesh I’m so random!
